Whitley Bay skatepark is described as a large all concrete park located in a beautiful spot next to the beach and close to the Links, and is primarily a transitions based park with some street elements thrown in. It was created in consultation with young skateboarders and roller bladers, opened in 2008 and contains 2 bowls, ramps, driveways and walls. It was an unusually quiet day when this photograph was taken.
