The table runs all the way round inside the building. It is convenient for working, chatting, eating.
Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2023
The 2023 pavilion is designed by French-Lebanese architect Lina Ghotmeh. The interior of the circular building contains an annular table, hence the title "À table", the French invitation to sit down to eat together. A café servery is built into the walls.
The walls have wooden pillars, between them are wood-based fretwork panels with plant-like designs to echo the trees in the surrounding gardens.
