TF0820 : There will be acorns

taken 3 years ago, near to Bourne, Lincolnshire, England

There will be acorns
There will be acorns
Quercus robur, the English or Pedunculate Oak, differs from our other native species in having acorn cups on long stems.

I was beginning to think this might be a barren year for Oaks, especially as last year was a mast year, and a spectacular one. But there are signs of acorns on some, if not all, of the trees hereabouts. There will be acorns.
