St Mary's Richmond: interior of the Green Howards Chapel
Originally St Catherine's chapel, with medieval wall paintings, but now dedicated to the Green Howards. The town is closely connected with the regiment, who also have a museum in the redundant Holy Trinity church NZ1700 : Tower of the former Holy Trinity church. On the north wall of the chapel are the names of the battles they have fought, above which hang various standards.
Church of St Mary, Richmond

A parish church of the 12th to 15th centuries, rebuilt and restored 1858-59 by Sir George Gilbert Scott. Listed grade II* (list entry 1289814).
