Originally St Catherine's chapel, with medieval wall paintings, but now dedicated to the Green Howards. The town is closely connected with the regiment, who also have a museum in the redundant Holy Trinity church. On the east wall of the chapel are an altar and a wooden reredos in memory of men of the regiment who fell in World War II, by Thompson of Kilburn.
