This footpath skirts the back of gardens on the northern edge of the Kingswood community. The village of Kingswood seems to have grown up along the edges of the roads through the wood, few if any of the houses dating from before 1930. The woodland of King's Wood covers around 2.5 square kilometres in 6 different grid squares, much of it, as here, chestnut coppice. See also TQ8351 : Fruits of autumn
