Punt rollerway at Parson's Pleasure, River Cherwell
A punt rollerway, photographed from the higher, north-westerly end, connecting the higher level River Cherwell (at Parson's Pleasure), to the lower level branch of the river at the stilling basin of the weir.

It allow punts to be portaged to above or below the weir, with upright metal barriers at both ends of the rollerway. Unsure if still regularly used.

The River Cherwell is a major tributary of the River Thames. It rises near Hellidon in Northamptonshire and flows south through Oxfordshire for 40 miles to meet the Thames at Oxford.
