From Market Street to George Street - Tamworth, Staffordshire
View from beside the Town Hall on Market Street looking eastwards towards George Street. Out of sight, between Lloyds Bank and the Halifax Building Society, is an entrance to the Ankerside Shopping Centre. Tamworth town centre shops have had trade taken away from them by the Jolly Sailor and Ventura Retail Parks. There are moves afoot to address this but how, amongst other things, removing the roof of the Ankerside is going to improve the situation remains to be seen.
