Beverley Bar or Beverley North Bar is a 15th-century gate. The bar is located between North Bar Without and North Bar Within. Traffic is limited to single file through the bar arch and controlled by a set of lights.

National Route 1 of the National Cycle Network is a long distance cycle route connecting Dover and the Shetland Islands mainly via the east coast of England and Scotland. The route is all signed and open except between London and Woodbridge (in Suffolk) and between Whitby and Staithes (in Yorkshire).
Part of the Sustrans National Cycle Network initiative. When completed, National Cycle Route 66 will run between Kingston Upon Hull and Manchester via York, Leeds, Bradford and Rochdale with an offshoot to Ashton-under-Lyne.
