The pele tower in the churchyard, Corbridge
This was the vicar's pele. or fortified vicarage, built c.1400 and in use as a vicarage until the 17C. The pitched roof was added in 1910. It now houses a bar, but the public are allowed to enter and climb up to the top floor.
