The Chapel, Oakham School
The Chapel, Oakham School
The Chapel was built as a memorial for the 70 former pupils who died in World War I. It was dedicated by the Bishop of Peterborough in October 1925.

Oakham School is an independent co-educational day and boarding school, founded in 1584 by Archdeacon Robert Johnson, along with the nearby Uppingham School. It is perhaps least well known as the alma mater of Horace St John Kelly Donisthorpe (1870 – 1951) an eccentric British myrmecologist and coleopterist. Crazy name, crazy guy.
