Maytime on a Wyeside lane - How Caple, Herefordshire
To the south east of How Caple a lane following the left bank of the River Wye in May 1976. To the south-west lies the 'split in two' parish of Foy SO 5928 - East (English) Foy and West (Welsh) Foy as they are separated by the River Wye. The only access on foot and by bicycle is the suspension bridge of 1876 and rebuilt in 1919 after being washed away. Motorists have a long drive via Wilton SO 5824 to reach the other half of the parish. Time photo taken not available.
