This is the road from Carlisle city centre to Cargo and Rockcliffe; it is also the route of the Cumbria Coastal Way.

Cumbrian Coastal Way

The Cumbrian Coast Way is a 182 mile route from Silverdale to Gretna. From Silverdale on Morecambe Bay, the route follows the Cumbria coast from the boundary with Lancashire, around the southern Cumbrian peninsulas with their stretches of estuarine sands, through the Lake District National Park and the industrial heritage of the west coast, along the Solway Firth and through border country with glimpses of Hadrian's Wall and along the River Eden to the historic city of Carlisle, then into Scotland to the official finish at the border town of Gretna.
