Slightly longer source of River Medway?
Slightly longer source of River Medway?
My son and I were walking on 7/11/23 to find the source of the River Medway in wet conditions. We noticed the stream was still flowing in a SW direction (along the line of the electricity wires) at TQ3352 3592. We followed the flow for a hundred metres or so and then crossed the ditch by a farm track between two fields (which had a pipe for the stream), following a flow which had changed direction (we were now heading W) and realised the small flow was coming from one of the three large ponds in the woodlands (the south east one of a triangular pattern of three ponds in these woods as shown on the 1:25000 OS map - not shown on the 1:50,000).
This flow is not shown on the OS or Google maps.
