The Knife Angel
Known officially as the NATIONAL MONUMENT AGAINST VIOLENCE AND AGGRESSION but popularly referred to as "the Knife Angel", this 27ft statue was sculpted by artist Alfie Bradley at the British Ironwork Centre in Oswestry from over 100,000 seized or surrendered blades across 43 UK police forces. It is meant to act as a symbol of unity in the campaign against knife crime
As part of the official anti-violence tour across the UK, which began in 2018, the statue has been installed on Deansgate in Bolton town centre and is scheduled to remain in the town during November 2023.

The Knife Angel :: SJ4066
The Knife Angel was created by sculptor Alfie Bradley together with The British Ironwork Centre in Shropshire and is touring the country to raise awareness of knife crime. It was created out of 100,000 bladed items collected through 43 amnesties around the country. The individual items have been sterilised and blunted.
