Once the Dragon and the Guildhall Walsall, West Midlands
Standing on the High Street, facing the junction of George Street, stands the Black Country Arms. This Grade II listed, on 13th September 1982, building dates from 1627 and was once the Green Dragon Inn. Beside it stands the former Guildhall, Grade II* listed on 13th September 1982. It was built in 1867 to the design of local architect George Benjamin Nichols. Time photo taken 3.05 pm GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
