South end of the Great Central Way, Glen Parva
The path from the end of Needham Avenue to the former railway trackbed that forms the majority of the Great Central Way.
Great Central Way, Leicester
The Great Central Way is a 3.5 mile footpath and cycle path between Glen Parva (in Leicester's southern suburbs) and Braunstone Gate (on the western edge of Leicester city centre, close to the De Montfort University campus). It largely uses the trackbed of the London Extension of the former Great Central Railway, this section of which closed in 1969. Apart from approximately one mile at the north end, it is a public bridleway.
