Taken from the small sandy beach at the southern end of The Flats, this photograph shows the distinctive building of Di Mascio’s Ice Cream & Coffee Bar. This recently-opened kiosk stands where Di Mascio’s ice cream van was previously located and serves the many folk who regularly frequent the popular Low Lights Car Park and which enjoys superb views of the mouth of the River Tyne and the two fine piers. The kiosk can also be seen at Link but from the opposite side.
