The High Arnside Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar on the summit of Black Crag.
The pillar was constructed in 1949 and the flush bracket benchmark number S5334 on the east-southeast face of the pillar marks a height of 322.329m above mean sea level (Ordnance Datum Newlyn), last levelled for height in 1956 (photograph NY3401 : Flush bracket benchmark, High Arnside).
