Allonby is on the King Charles III England Coast Path and a popular seaside destination for visitors, especially families, with extensive beaches and views across the Solway Firth to Scotland.

Local residents and businesses complain about visitors causing nuisance by using inappropriate places in the village as toilets, but the hapless visitors have no choice. Years of misguided government austerity are surely to blame.
