The development is known as Live Works.

"Live Theatre NZ2563 : Live Theatre, Broad Chare purchased the land and buildings adjacent to the theatre in 2014, kick starting the £10.5 million Live Works capital scheme which completed in 2016.

Live Works generates commercial revenue streams supporting our award-winning charitable work and bolsters our financial resilience.

The scheme created a landmark building on Newcastle’s quayside, with approximately 1500sqm of highly desirable office space. This is currently rented by Zerolight, a pioneering visualisation specialist for the automotive industry. Other tenants include Camerons’ Head of Steam Quayside, Urban Base, Enterprise Chambers, Mya Cosmetics and Verrimus.

Live Theatre built Live Garden, a new public park and performance space managed and programmed by Live Theatre, and Live Tales, a children and young people’s writing centre in a refurbished Grade II listed almshouse as two further elements of the scheme."
