This striking artwork has been attached to the rather decrepit hoardings which were erected around the former factory site many years ago. The artwork is by PREFAB77 (also known as Peter Manning) a UK based artist whose origins and influences are in England, California and New York. The Tyne Brand factory has been closed for over 40 years and the site has long been in a derelict state. At its height, Tyne Brand was the largest manufacturer of canned meat products in Britain.
