Ingram Café, Ingram
Between the years 1834 and 1958 this was the local school consisting of a single classroom with the teacher's cottage adjoining. Until the 1950's the school lacked even basic facilities: no kitchen, no electricity and no piped water. An open fire in the classroom was the only source of heat. Eventually, after closure, the building became a National Park Visitor Centre and then a café with a National Park Visitor Centre incorporated which continues to be the use of the building.
