River Orrin
River Orrin
The Orrin drains eastwards to meet the River Conon about 4km downstream of Conon Bridge. In 1961 the Orrin Reservoir was created as part of the Conon Valley hydroelectric scheme. The water is sent by tunnel to the power station at Loch Achonachie. Here it runs through the Fairburn Estate at Aultgowrie.
