St Mary's church, Chilham

14th Century transepts and 15th C. nave, the tower was built in 1534 and has 8 bells. There are some 15th C. windows. The east end of the church was rebuilt in 1863, and original rood screen was removed in 1543, remnants of stairs to the loft can be seen. The south porch has a Parvise above.
The church contains monuments to several families associated with the Castle, and the Digges monument of 1631.
