Site of Wassell Mill Pond
Site of Wassell Mill Pond
The former mill pond was once 31 acres in size but is now dry. Originally constructed as a hammer pond for Wassell Forge which was working between 1574-1642 before it was converted into a watermill in the 1750s. The pond was fed by the River Kird.
