Recent suggestions concerning the appropriate specific names for the (nine) segments of the Mid-Links open space in Montrose led to a site monitor favouring all elements being dubbed Scott's Park. That this was not the intention of a recent renovation project was made clear in a 2003 press release, qv http://www.angus.gov.uk/new/releases-archive/2003/2003-12-24a.htm ./ . Whilst it might still be acceptable to refer to this string of green spaces as Mid-Links; it is for example surely not correct to refer to Academy Square as Scott Park, each distinctly separated from the other by the old parish church and graveyard, and with their own indicative names on display.
