Opened in 1865 as a terminus and is now Gde II listed. It became a through station in 1888 with the opening of the line to Skipton, Bolton Abbey and Embsay, Ilkley then having 4 platforms. That line became a casualty of the Beeching cuts and was closed in 1965. Ilkley then reverted to the status of a terminus station and was reduced back to 2 platforms. It currently enjoys regular electric train services to Leeds and Bradford,
