The Bandstand, Park Road Gardens
Park Road Gardens is an attractive, well-maintained ornamental park, just outside the centre of Grange-over-Sands. There are trees, lawns and a sensory garden.
The central feature is the Edwardian bandstand, erected in 1904. Originally sited on the promenade, it was moved here after ladies made protests to the council on the delicate matter of soot from the passing steam trains ruining their clothes whilst they listened to band music. It is Grade II-listed (Historic England list entry number: 1269655 Link

) ). The sides of the bandstand were previously glazed. The timber window frames and glass were removed when the structure was restored in ca1990.
