Trains at Llandudno Junction
On the right is the shuttle to Llandudno with, on the left, the service to Holyhead. This is using the bi-directional Platform 3 which enables step-free interchange between the Llandudno shuttle and main line trains in either direction. Both trains are formed of Class 197 units, the shuttle of 2 cars, the Holyhead train of 3 cars.
Llandudno Junction Station
Llandudno Junction railway station (Welsh: Cyffordd Llandudno) is on the Crewe to Holyhead North Wales Coast Line. The station is managed by Arriva Trains Wales, although Virgin Trains also serves it.
As a junction for trains to Llandudno and the Conwy Valley Line, Llandudno Junction is the busiest station in North Wales, in terms of the frequency of services, and is also one of the busiest in terms of passenger numbers.
The station opened in 1858.
