TL5646 : Thatch hook

taken 9 months ago, near to Linton, Cambridgeshire, England

Thatch hook
Thatch hook
The old thatch hook, still preserved at Chandlers, on Linton High Street, is a relic of the times when the thatch on a house had to be pulled off in a hurry if it was on fire. Since then this house has had a tiled roof, but the old hook has been preserved.
