taken 6 months ago, near to Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England

Minster Church of St Nicholas, Great Yarmouth
Minster Church of St Nicholas, Great Yarmouth
The west front, Early English 'geometric' style. Although following the 14th century layout (when the aisles were built) this is essentially a 19th century creation and the style is not consistent with the 14th century building date for the west front. A feature of the church is the large size of the aisles compared with the narrower and short nave. Listed Grade II*.
Great Yarmouth Minster

St Nicholas has an area of 23,000 square feet, Pevsner tells us ('The Buildings of England: North-East Norfolk and Norwich', Pevsner,N, pp 143-46: Harmondsworth, Penguin, 1962 2nd 1970). It is both magnificent and friendly at the same time LinkExternal link
