Geograph - photograph every grid square

Underneath the Mancunian way is the Projekts Mcr skateboard park. It is a replica of a street concourse with low level pipes, banks, hips and rails, all constructed on a purpose built floating floor to test and challenge the skater's skills. It was designed and shaped by Andy Peerless, the retired European quad skate champion, with consultation and input from local skaters, and built by the bespoke skatepark builders Fearless Ramps. It is run by Projekts Mcr Link a not for profit Community Benefit Society whose goal is to transform and build community that changes lives through skateboarding.

A number of artworks can be seen in the park. On one of the pillars is a portrait by Akse-P19 of his son, who is a keen skateboarder.
