NZ2666 : Jesmond Park Academy school

taken 2 years ago, near to Heaton, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England

Jesmond Park Academy school
Jesmond Park Academy school
A large secondary school of 2000 pupils on Jesmond Park West. It was originally built in 2004 as Heaton Manor School but changed to Jesmond Park Academy in 2019. Not without some local controversy as it is actually in Heaton. Originally, Heaton Grammar School occupied this site. Interestingly, this was opened in 1928 by King George V after he had opened the Tyne Bridge earlier in the day.
