Restructuring the landscape in City Fields
Another phase of City Fields starts, close to [but not on] the site of Park Hill colliery. The nearby Eastmoor estate was built to house mineworkers and their families. The residents of Eastmoor lost almost all their local jobs decades ago, when the pit closed. Now they are losing local open space too.
