The tower of Durham cathedral viewed from South Bailey. The chapel beyond the tree was the church of St Mary the Less, now it is a chapel for St John's College. It was originally built in the 12th century and was rebuilt 1846-7. The church is Grade II listed, see: LinkExternal link
