RIP Boris the Chimp 1966-2024
Boris was Chester Zoo's most famous chimp and was the zoo's longest serving resident. He arrived at Chester in 1969 after spending the first three years of his life as a pet in New York. Sadly Boris passed away on 25th July 2024 at the grand old age (for a chimp) of 58.
