Crossing Keepers Cottage
Crossing Keepers Cottage
A former railway between Hatfield and St Albans used to cross Ellenbrook Lane just here. It became disused in the late 1960s.
There would have been a level crossing here. This was where the keeper once lived.
There is an old style level crossing road sign on the wall left of the gate.
The route is now a cycle path, the Alban Way.
