TL1207 : Wall in the Woods

taken 2 months ago, near to St Albans, Hertfordshire, England

Wall in the Woods
Wall in the Woods
Not easy to photograph amongst the trees is a bit of the wall built by the Romans around their town, Verulamium.
Most of the wall masonry was removed long ago, recycled into the medieval town of St Albans which was built on higher ground a short distance away. I guess this bit was either too far or too difficult.
Not a good picture, I know. Probably better in winter.
