The prominent building here is the Grade A listed St George's Tron Parish Church dating from 1807. It was fully refurbished in 2005-9 by CRGP architects. LinkExternal link

Originally it was a meeting place for the congregation of the Wynd Church. In 1940 the Tron St Anne Church united with St George's, forming the newly named Church of Scotland congregation of St George's-Tron Church. In 2012 the "Tron Church" congregation moved to Bath Street. St. George's Tron®, more commonly known as The Tron Church®, seceded as an entire congregation from its former denomination, the Church of Scotland. LinkExternal link

The Reverend Alastair Duncan was duly appointed as a Transition Minister for a seven year period in order to re-plant a congregation in the landmark city centre church, before being formally inducted over zoom in 2020.
