Staines Bus Station
Two "Leyland National" single deck buses in Staines Bus Station in 1984.
The buses were operating for London Country, a subsidiary of the state-owned National Bus Company. The National Bus Company had subsidiary companies across England and Wales. The companies were sold off between 1986 and 1988, as the government at the time had a policy of selling state-owned industries to the private sector.

Leyland National
The Leyland National was a highly-standardised single-deck bus developed by British Leyland and the National Bus Company. More than 7,700 of these buses were built, at a purpose-built factory in Workington, Cumbria. They entered service between 1972 and 1985.
