Opened in 1859 by the Cornwall Railway, later part of the Great Western Railway, on its line from Plymouth to Truro and Falmouth.
View west towards Burngullow and Truro. The footbridge seen in SX0152 : St. Austell railway station, Cornwall from the opposite direction has been dismantled and was replaced in 2015 by a new footbridge with lifts.
