Crudely made bridge over Leithen Water
Crudely made bridge over Leithen Water
The platform of the bridge is made from poles and other sundry lengths of wood supplemented by sheets of corrugated metal. OS mapping names it as a footbridge and it would certainly serve as one, but it's perhaps more likely to be there to allow sheep to move back and forth across the stream. The animals on the slope above had just made the crossing.
