The image was taken from the south shore of Belfast Lough near Helen Bay towards Carrickfergus. The Scottish terminal of Stranraer was moved to Cairnryan in 2011. The vessel shown here is HSC Stena Voyager which was built in 1995/6 and was opearated until 2011. She was scrapped in 2013. The service is now operated by HSS (High-speed Sea Service) vessels. The journey time is 2 hours 15 minutes.
