NY9540 : At the summit of Crow Coal Hill

taken 20 days ago, near to Eastgate, County Durham, England

At the summit of Crow Coal Hill
At the summit of Crow Coal Hill
The hill walker has just reached the trig point of the 466 m. Crow Coal Hill.
The apparent dark cloud in the distance is smoke from heather burning, one of a number of fires in view that day, all set intentionally as part of management for grouse shooting.
