St Matthew's Gateway
St Matthew's Gateway
The gateway is the access to the grounds surrounding St Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, all of which is Category B Listed. See LinkExternal link for details. Especially noteworthy are that it was built by volunteer labour, and that the use throughout of bricks was to keep the local brickworks open. Interestingly, the trees shown in NT2963 : Through the arch. have gone.
