St Matthew's Roman Catholic Church was designed by Archibald Macpherson and built in 1925, Together with the surrounding grounds it is Category B Listed. See LinkExternal link for details. Especially noteworthy are that it was built by volunteer labour, and that the use throughout of bricks was to keep the local brickworks open.
