Whitehill House
Whitehill House, designed by William Burn (1789-1870) and was built in 1839-1844 for Major R G Wardlaw-Ramsay. It is a full-blown neo-Jacobean extravaganza and is Category A Listed. See
Link for details. It was for a time St Joseph's Hospital but I gather that it is back in private hands and is being restored. Just my luck to happen on it while it is decorated with scaffolding.
