The summit of Beacon Hill is 248 metres (814 ft) above sea level, it is the third highest point in Leicestershire after Bardon Hill and Birch Hill. It is part of the Beacon Hill Country Park which consists of over 135 hectares (330 acres) of grassland and woodland.
