Tagged Red Kite Soaring Over Reeding Burn, Blanchland
Taken on a windy day from Birkside Fell, where a pair of Red Kites were slope soaring in the valley. This kite was tagged with pink (left) and green (right) wing tags numbered Y8.
The pink tag confirms that the bird is from North East England and the green tag confirms the year of fledging, which in this case is either 2006, 2015 or 2024. I assume the latter two are more likely.
